Register as rower for the 2023/24 Season

All new and returning members must register using the form on this page at the commencement of the rowing season.

How much are the Club subscription fees?


The following Rowing categories and subscription fees have been set for the 1 August 2023 - 31 July 2024 season (all are inclusive of GST).

  • Novice: $630
  • Club:(Intermediate/Club/Senior/Master - $750
  • Non-Competitive Master: $650*
  • University Student: $455
  • Coxswain: $400


*The non-competitive master rowing category is for those rowers who want to row socially but do not want to compete at RowingNZ regattas.


The following Non-Rowing categories and subscription fees have been set for the 1 August 2023 - 31 July 2024 season (all are inclusive of GST).

  • Supporter: $50

 

Family discounts are available for Rowing Categories. These are: 

  • 2nd Rower: 10%
  • 3rd Rower: 10%
  • 4th Rower: 20%


What do the subscription fees cover?


Your subscription fees at Hawke's Bay Rowing Club go towards:


  • Upkeep and minor upgrades of equipment and facilities
  • Rowing New Zealand Competition Fee ($90 + GST, not covered in Masters fee)
  • East Coast Rowing Affiliation Fee ($20)
  • Insurance coverage for equipment and members
  • Fuel for coaching boats
  • Accounting and administrative expenses


Please be aware that these subscription fees don't cover all fixed costs. Additional funding comes from regatta participation fees.

Register a rower for the 2023/24 Season

  • Every rower needs a unique email address for registration.
  • If you're under 18, parental consent is needed. Parents should also handle the payment process.
  • For those under 18, please provide parent contact details for billing and updates.
  • Payment is required to confirm your registration.
  • Novice rowers can either pay a deposit of $300 or the full fee as part of your registration.
  • Intermediates, Club and Seniors are required to pay the full fee for the season.
  • Novice masters membership costs $250 and lasts until Christmas 2023. After that, you can switch to a casual or full master subscription on a pro-rata basis, which will extend your membership until 31 July 2024.
