Adult (Masters) Rowing

If you're 27 or older, our Masters programme offers a dynamic space for both novices and seasoned rowers to achieve varied objectives. Some row for the calm waters, while others are fueled by competitive zeal. Regardless, becoming a Masters rower unlocks a range of experiences for you.

Masters Rowing adds a unique blend of energy and inclusivity to Hawkes Bay Rowing Club. Whether you're a beginner, a leisure rower, or competition-focused, our Masters programmes have something for everyone. The Masters community has seen steady growth over the years, and new members always find a warm welcome.

When do the masters train?

On Sundays, the Masters group gathers at Hawkes Bay Rowing Club between 7:30 am and 8:00 am to form crews for the day. While sculling in quads and doubles is common, some members also enjoy sweep rowing and will occasionally put together an eight or four-person boat. After the rowing session, members head down the road to BOX coffee for a well deserved drink and a catch-up.

Sunday mornings offer an excellent opportunity to get involved and meet other club members.
