Come and celebrate this momentous occasion of
150 years of rowing in Hawke’s Ba
y.

For 150 years, the Hawke’s Bay Rowing Club has been at the heart of rowing in New Zealand, a place where community, passion, and sporting excellence have stood the test of time. Founded in 1876, the club has grown from its early beginnings on local waters into one of the region’s most enduring sporting institutions, nurturing athletes of all ages and abilities and fostering the camaraderie that defines rowing life in Hawke’s Bay.

As we gather to celebrate the 150ᵗʰ Jubilee Dinner, we honour not only a century and a half of oars on the Clive River and beyond, but also the countless friendships, victories, and memories that have shaped generations of rowers. This milestone is a tribute to every volunteer, coach, competitor, and supporter who has contributed to the Club’s remarkable story, from early race days to today’s thriving community of athletes and enthusiasts.
